General Chipmunk help

Postby shawn42 » Mon May 11, 2009 4:25 am

Creating this thread for a learning place on the chipmunk physics engine. I'll go first:
when setting up an objects friction coefficient, one should consult this nice table:
http://www.roymech.co.uk/Useful_Tables/Tribology/co_of_frict.htm#coef

Hope this helps.
Keep posting Chipmunk fun here.

Well... maybe a 'getting started with Rubygame and Chipmunk' tutorial would be nice. I can't for the life of me find any information relating to it apart from a GOSU/Chipmunk tutorial, which by the author's own comments is out of date.

This would be useful, but I'm also trying to encourage people to use Gamebox that conveniently wraps Chipmunk. So I'd say help me come up with an API that makes sense or that is easy to use, and I'll work on getting it to work with Chipmunk. :D
