Sorry to bring up an old flame, but i'm having the same problem with newer versions of OCRA. i also can't seem to get it to work in the same directory, even with --chdir-first...
And to groogy, you're correct, rubyscript2exe long ago lost support for any newer technology. from what i've seen, it hasn't been successful since ruby 1.6 :/

Well for Mac there is MacRuby that can compile single ruby files into Unix executable files. So far, I haven't been able to get it to require libraries or compile multiple ruby files (don't know if anyone else has or if it's even possible)...

As for Linux, I have no idea what you can use, sorry
